Wahoo-Diving exists since 1998 on the most southern island of the Azores,
Santa Maria. The spots around Santa Maria are very various and are only dived by us regularly.

Diving offers fantastic submarine geography with a great variety of specimen.

Many of the caves, seamounts and steep walls were
discovered by us and so the divers can still feel the spirit of adventure.
In 1999 we found a seamount with a depth rising from 400 meters to 40 meters, which is not registered in the charts. This seamount and many other offshore spots are a good opportunity  for watching the different kinds of big fish like mantas and mobulas, eagle rays, big groupers, wahoos, sharks, pelagic sting rays,  schools of amberjacks, barracudas and tuna.

2003 showed a very good frequency of manta and sick elfin mobula around the island.

Our diving centre is located in Forno, close to the lovely "Baya of Sao Lourenco" with its sand beaches, 2 restaurants and good opportunities for swimming and snorkelling.
With a distance of 20 miles to the famous nature reserve "Formigas" we are the only dive centre that can make there 2 dives in a day journey.
